Neha and Tyler are high school sweethearts. They've grown together through their academic pursuits, a cross-country move, and tough health diagnoses of family members. The love they have for each other is as real as it comes.
Their two-day, East-meets-West wedding celebration brought friends and family from around the world to their home state of Minnesota. The weekend started with their Mehendi ceremony at Neha's parent's house where she had elaborate henna designs applied to her hands and feet, and the guests enjoyed music, dancing, and delicious food.
The next day, they had their first look at the Hewing Hotel with the Minneapolis skyline in the background. From Neha and Tyler: "After the anticipation of getting ready all morning, the first look was a quiet and exciting moment where we could take a second to reflect and breathe before the craziness of the day." For Tyler's baraat, he rode a costumed horse through the streets of downtown Minneapolis surrounded by his family and friends. Everyone danced and sang, creating a procession for his arrival to Aria where he was welcomed by Neha's parents and family with sweets.
Aria's industrial vibe provided the perfect urban background for the vibrant colors and blending of cultures. They had a traditional Hindu ceremony under a canopy and garlands of fiery orange flowers.
Following the ceremony, everyone enjoyed a family-style feast of Indian classics. The emotional speeches given during their dinner reflected the love and respect that Neha and Tyler have for each other as well as for their family and friends. To top it all off, Neha's best friends and family surprised everyone with a Bollywood performance to kick off a night of dancing and celebrating.
